SPECIAL BLEND, JRAS, & T-WRECK

Special Blend is a 3 piece group with a unique sound composed of ska, punk, reggae, rock, and blues. This sound and constantly shifting style of play comes from a group of guys who feel there is too much good music going on to be limited to one genre. Sons of Local guitar legend and entertainer Joe Calautti, Dom and Sal grew up with a vast knowledge and amazing instructor of guitar learning fundamentals/styles in Metal,Blues,Punk, and classic rock. Ray Scavelli (aspiring bassist and Dom's best friend)with a grandfather of 47 years in National Symphony Orchestra and grandmother of 30+ years in the Choral Arts Society of Washington, was going to find his place in music as well when he and Dom began jamming together. Watching and studying bands such as Sublime, Hendrix, SRV and Blink 182 closely and recruiting Sal as a self taught drummer of 4 years, The Band formed to start what would become a fast-paced high energy group with no two similar songs in their original repetoire.
n the short 3 years that Riotmaker has been performing live, the fellas have been fortunate enough to share the stage with many amazing acts such as: Rome Ramirez from Sublime with Rome, Tesla, Oleander, Middle Class Rut, Fishbone, Authority Zero, J BOOG, Common Kings, Rappin 4 Tay, Anuhea, The Supervillains, New Kingston, The Slackers, Yellowman, Easy Star All Stars, Stranger Band, Arden Park Roots, PapaFish, Black Bottom Lighters, Zuhg, Indubious, One Drop, , Fallrise, Some Fear None, Element of Soul, Soul Motor, Street Urchinz, One-A-Chord, Skunk Dub, White Minorities, Heroes Last Mission, Infamous Swanks, Simple Creation, RadioActive, One Leg Chuck, Island of Black and White, WastedNoise, Relion, Abandon the Midwest, Torches to Triggers, Brodi Nicholas, Another Damn Disappointment and many more..
With long dreads flying and energy bursting every time he’s on stage, J Ras has been quickly gaining fans across the nation with his uplifting music and high energy live shows. Coming from the hills of Northern California, he has consistently performed for over a decade blending modern roots reggae with hip hop and dancehall. After successfully touring across the U.S. on the Vans Warped Tour in 2014, J Ras topped iTunes reggae charts with the release of his second solo album Find My Way in November 2014. J Ras continued building a buzz both online and on stage with a headlining national tour in early 2015 and a viral video on Facebook with the Rapping Dad that received over a million views. In a recent article published in Submerge Magazine, Jonathan Carabba stated that “J Ras’ recent success comes as no surprise, as he spent the entire summer performing on Warped Tour, grinding hard and self-promoting every single day all across the country.
